At Baskets & Platters Galore, we take pride in the quality of our products and customer satisfaction. Please read our Refunds & Returns Policy carefully before placing an order..

 

1. Made-to-Order & Perishable Items

Most of our products, including gift baskets, platters, hampers, and customised items, are made to order and may contain perishable goods.
For this reason:

* Orders cannot be returned once delivered
* Orders cannot be cancelled once preparation has started

This policy is in line with Section 42 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa regarding perishable and customised goods.

 

 

2. Refunds

Refunds will only be considered under the following circumstances:

  • The incorrect item was delivered
  • The item was damaged or spoiled at the time of delivery
  • There is a clear quality issue caused by us

Conditions for Refund Requests:

  • You must notify us within 24 hours of delivery
  • Clear photographic evidence must be provided
  • The product must be unused and in the same condition as received (where applicable)

If approved, refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

 

 

3. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable:

  • Customised or personalised items
  • Perishable food items
  • Items ordered incorrectly by the customer
  • Orders where delivery details were supplied incorrectly

4. Returns

Due to the nature of our products:
* We do not accept product returns
* No exchanges are offered
If there is an issue with your order, please contact us immediately so we can assess and resolve it fairly.

 

5. Cancellations

  • Orders may be cancelled only before preparation has begun
  • Once any preparation or customisation starts, cancellation is no longer possible

To request a cancellation, contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.

 

6. Delivery Issues

We are not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by incorrect delivery information
  • Delays due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. traffic, weather, load shedding)

If a delivery fails due to incorrect information provided by the customer, the order will be treated as fulfilled. 

 

7. Collection‑Only Orders

For orders marked as Collection Only, the following terms apply:

  • Customers are responsible for collecting their order at the agreed date and time *
  • Collection details will be confirmed once the order is ready.

Important Notes:

  • No refunds will be issued for collection‑only orders that are not collected at the agreed time
  • If a customer fails to collect their order on the scheduled date, the order will be considered fulfilled
  • Due to the perishable and made‑to‑order nature of our products, late collections may affect product quality, for which we cannot be held responsible
  • Storage of uncollected orders is not guaranteed

If you are unable to collect your order as scheduled, please contact us as soon as possible. While we will try to assist where possible, this is not guaranteed.
